Let the bloggin' community bear fruit and multiply!! You all know you need another blog to check up on. Here's the deal on this one - life in the ministry is crazier than we thought possible. There's just so many thoughts swirling around in my little mind that I need a way to process and log my thoughts. Blogging is a great way to do that you know. It creates an archive of where God has taken you and should show us, as we look back on it, how much we're growing in Him.
Plus it really is a great way for everyone that loves us or cares about anything we say to keep up with what's going on. My friend Jonathan has a theory that any true life long friends you're going to have will be the ones that keep up with your blog. (No Pressure) This will be a place to really get a look into what we're doing in ministry, what God is teaching us and should also be a place for some interesting discussion.
Here's my plan...
Update the blog regularly and ask a question of the week. Then you all comment and we interact. Some will be harder than others of course...we'll see how it goes. What do you think? The answers will tell us who actually reads these!! Oh yeah, and throw in some crazy pictures to make things interesting. Like this...
Wanted to let everyone in Bend know that we miss you guys like crazy. If anyone has a burning passion for Nampa, ID the market is flashing a strong buy signal. There's a house right across the street from us for sale if you want to be our neighbors!! Love you guys.
Question of the Week:
We'll start light...
Where did your last cup of coffee (or coffee alternative) come from and who did you share it with?

With your dad this morning... he is so good to me! Can't wait to hang out with you, your sister, and the fam... Love ya, Momma
Backporch Coffee Roasters, llc. With my beautiful wife, and we took a mocha to Casey. Fun starter question...how about a controversial doctrinal issue for Pregunta Dos? (I listed several examples, but realized that is your job if you choose to go that way) *toothy grin*
Much love.

Common Grounds - the one and only place where you can find all of your not-terribly-awesome coffe options at Biola University. I had it with the members of my small group from my Theology class last year...we had a small group reuinion where we, like old times, drank coffee and mulled over the theological question of the night....maybe we need a blog too.
I love you guys. Have some Revival in Nampa.
Caleb - you can count on some controversial doctrinal theological spiritual questions. Nothing like a great discussion on a blog. Tell Jonathan to invite his friend from Seattle. :-)
Thanks for starting easy... you know with milk!
I had a chai last night that came from the fridge by way of the microwave. I gulped it down so Christina and I could run out into the rain/snow to throw garbage in my employer's dumpster before it was emptied this morning. We are workin it!
But before that I shared a chai from Backporch with my beloved brothers Chris, Randy, and Brian.
Love and a squeeze!
John
I had Brasil blend from Backporch yesterday. It was wonderful! Thanks to Joe and Dad who brought it back from Bend for me.
I'm Not A Coffee Drinker, But I Did Indulge At Back Porch (I'm Noticing A Trend Here...) A Couple Of Weeks Ago With An Egg Nog Latte. I Turned A Blind Date Into A Wittnessing Opportunity. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
I Miss You Guys Like Crazy! I'll Try To Keep Up With The Blog.
St.Charles Medical Center. My friend Gina showed up with a carmel apple cider to use as encouragement to get us through the next long 12 hours of a shift! It's official... the paperwork is signed and processing. Pictures get taken and all should be rolling by tomorrow. What's that house like across the street?? =)
I also had Chai at backporch. Jay took the whole second year CLC class out for coffee yesterday. I made sure everyone knew to razz joe about his modeling stint. You've heard about that right?
I also was with the Eric at BackPorch and hung out with the rest of CLC.. helped my friend from highschool Josh who works with Campus Crusade for Christ with a crossword puzzle.. did you know garlic butter is I think called aiola? I spent my time mulling over my vanilla latte taking pictures of all the random westsiders who came with my new phone, and laughing at discussions of old tv shows like 321 Contact. Right now Im lamenting the fact that my dead theologian paper which I thought was on the leader of the Welsh Revival [who is actually Evan Roberts] but I am stuck doing Charles Finney [who is not]. Cripes. Glad you started a new one! -Jasper
Yeah, we heard about Joe the model. Funny. I also heard you were trying to get in on it as well, Eric. Maybe you need to be razzed together.
I'll hit up a coffee once every week or two, but my "daily dose" comparison is NOXplode. The effects of coffee just don't compare. I gave Sandy a serving the other day and she reacted as though being electrocuted for 3 hours straight. Now she's scared to death of it :) Anywho, I had my drink this morning sitting on a hard rubber floor in the weight room with my coach.
If you are ever interested in replacing your coffee bean water with a nitric-oxide, creatine, caffeine, arginine, and taurine juice, you can check it out at:

I'm excited for the new blog!
I had a poor man's mocha (African Kitamu coffee with swiss miss; classy, I know) this morning in your kitchen with the Lord before I went to work. I got the job!!!! Oh, and John and Christina, I found a house for you. It's two streets up from us and it's amazing so I'll try and guard it for you. Much love and see you soon!
Danielle and I needed a "pick me up" today on our walk. We swung into Backporch and got the dollar cup of coffee for the road. Good conversation, good exercise and a little extra energy boost- just what a mom needs on a Tuesday afternoon.
Jenni
Hey this is Kailee and this is my first time trying to leave a comment on a blogger site... So anyway I just bought a cup of coffee from a small drive up coffee place in Nampa on the way to my Master's class and I think it is pretty much heaven in a cup right now!!
It came from my own pot and I did not share it with anyone.
John and Sonja Decker
hummmmm..white chocolate moca. first time at backporch!and i knew every single person there...most were 1st years
hey everyone in the "john and christina...what is happening in their lives" club...way to be exclusive and not share! we all know how i feel about being left out!:-)
This afternoon I was sipping a cup of coffee while talking on the phone with a guy who filed a law suit against our company as a means of bullying me into paying him more money than our contract called for. He must have got a bill for his attorney's fees recently and now wants to settle without any more lawyer involvement. Hmmm... The coffee was really bitter in comparison to the sweet anticipation of justice being served. Seems like there is a scripture passage about settling our differences out of court. Anybody got that verse handy?
Found it! It's 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 and it's good stuff!
Is the guy a believer?
Hey - as Jenni said before, we had a great coffee today at Backporch, just what we needed! As for Randy, I think his last one was this weekend when we went into Backporch for devotions but were blessed to see the Kemmel family and Spedick families having coffee too. P.S. Cutting Edge News - Hannah Joy slept all night last night!!! Yep we decided we need to throw a party! So maybe we could have some coffee at the party!
Tara we love you and maybe we could go out for coffee and I could bring you up to date!
Thanks Lorelei. There is a really good message there. It really spoke to me this morning.
ok christina:-) call me this week and we will go get coffee. thursdays are good for me? you?
Goodness there are alot of comments on this here blog.It bears a strange resemblances to a Johnson Family Website Blog.Hey has Janelle wrote in yet because I love reading her thoughts. Oh, well I believe the question is something about coffee and with that I say alot now. Ethiopian Harar was my last cup of coffee I had today at Backporch, but I did watch Dave roast the Sumatra and it was really educating. The most interesting person I talked to today was a woman named Sarah. She told me her name ment princess but she wasn't the princes of anything. And than she asked me to explain one of my art pictures to her that was on the wall.Thats what problably made her interesting beings how she listened to me the entire way through.Until I write again David this is your Uncle writing you and telling you that I miss you and would love to walk with you.joe
lol at the Janelle comment. Good to hear from you all. This is going to be great!!
Jasper - Charles Finney is awesome. You won't regret studying his life. A literal world changer.
So... whats the next question?
(Wait! thats a questions! That shouldn't count, does it? Ahh! Another question!)
I think that I am in Love with Dave Lubben. I hope it is okay for me to say that. Well its more like, a love as in beans. I love green beans also. Be Blessed.
